What a different day to yesterday. Wind was rocking the van at 8.30 and it had been raining. A couple of kites were out but didn't want to get stuck landing with a highish high tide at 10 so decided to have a leisurely Full English and wait. Finally had enough waiting about mid day and went out on the 9m although it did seem a bit blustery. Sea was big out back (breakers way over my head in places) after 2 windy days but actually quite smooth (wind flattened the chop that was there yesterday) but a good challenge none the less. Nasty gusts at times too... Eventually several others came out on 7m kites. Would have done the same too but didn't have one - 7m kites at the end of July didn't compute (especially considering I didn't even remember to bring a board yesterday :) Eventually it started raining and decided several hours in those conditions was plenty enough. Well timed because having packed up the rain was pelting down and horizontal. Most people decided the best of the weekend had been had and the vans gradually departed.
